What are the new Turkey visa requirements?
Starting September 1, 2017, all Turkish citizens traveling to Europe will need a visa. This includes countries such as the United States, Canada, and Australia. The visa requirement is in place in order to help restrict the flow of refugees and migrants into Europe.
Turkish citizens who are already in Europe do not need a new visa. However, they will need to have a valid passport and proof of hotel stay in the last 30 days before arriving in Europe.

How to get a Turkish Visa if you’re from the United States
In order to travel to Turkey, all travelers must first obtain a tourist visa. If you’re from the United States and planning on traveling to Turkey, there are some new visa requirements you’ll need to take into account.
The Turkish government has recently updated its tourist visa requirements. To qualify for a Turkish tourist visa, you will now require a passport with at least six months remaining validity, as well as a valid US visa. If you’re traveling to Turkey for leisure purposes only and don’t have any other business in the country, a single-entry tourist visa should be sufficient. You must have a valid passport and visa for your country of residence. You must also have travel insurance in case anything goes wrong during your trip.
The new requirements for Turkish citizens visiting certain countries include the following:
